A basic objective of Meiporul, the non-profit volunteering Organization established in 2015, is to make a difference in the lives of the most disadvantage sections within the population of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs).

Meiporul’s important intervention is in the arena of education. These initiatives are driven largely through collaboration with New Vision Friends Club (NVFC), an organization comprising enlightened individuals who are themselves impaired in vision. Meiporul awards scholarships to needy students to pursue higher studies and offers financial support to acquire assistive aids and appliances. Meiporul facilitates the promotion of Renaissance, NVFC’s annual flagship event, where the educational accomplishments of visually impaired students are recognized.
